My student keeps cancelling the day before lessons. How can I address this?
Occasionally, we hear tutors complain that a student regularly cancels (or reschedules) the day before their lesson. This can be problematic as it can prevent the time slots from being booked by someone else. In this situation, you may want to copy the message below and email it to your student (reply to any booking email to contact them):
I hope you are well. I have noticed that you are often cancelling or rescheduling sessions the day before. Of course you are within your rights to do this up to 24h before the lesson time, however when it happens frequently it is difficult for me as I'm unable to teach another student and my income is affected. I hope that you will be able to take this into consideration and that we can continue working together! 😊
