5) Updating lesson statuses
The vast majority of the time, booked lessons will go ahead without any problems. So, to save you time, lessons are automatically marked as completed.
If a lesson is not completed successfully, you must mark it as such within 48h. Failure to do this may cause problems for you, your student and our team. Consequently, if this happens more than once, we may be forced to suspend your account.
To mark a lesson as not completed, first go to My Lessons, select Past and find the relevant lesson.
To ensure that the student's funds are returned to their account and are not incorrectly paid to you, click Mark Not Completed.
Alternatively, if the student did not show up to the lesson, click Mark No Show. If you click this, the lesson will still be considered completed, but we'll be able to see that the student did not show up. For paid sessions, you should wait 15 mins by your laptop in case they show up a bit late. And you should email them after 5-10 minutes, providing your call details in case they're having tech issues.
Lessons marked as no shows are paid as normal, but you may be required to show proof that you contacted the student if they complain that they could not connect with you. Fortunately, this situation is extremely rare! If a student does not show up for 2 lessons in a row, you should contact us so we can help resolve the situation and ensure you're able to get paid for any further lessons.
For trial sessions, if the student does not show up, remember to mark it as a no show. This way, the session will not be counted when calculating your trial success rate. On average, no shows occur with 1 in 10 trials.
When you're ready, please move on to Payment & Pricing.
