How accurate are the translations and what to do if one doesn’t make sense?

Whilst we use the most powerful translation technology available, the meaning of individual words varies depending on the context. Because of this, sentence translations are often more helpful than word translations (side note: there’s actually a popular technique called ‘sentence mining’, which you can learn about here).

We encourage you to get more context by translating the full sentence and/or checking usage examples from within the translation pop up. You can save words & sentences by clicking the [+] button.

You can also flag words you believe are translated incorrectly via the flag button. We check flagged words regularly and will correct translations when appropriate. Note that sometimes a translation might not make sense in the context in which you see it, but it may make sense in another sentence.
